Theorist is a Raleigh and Los Angeles based digital production studio that owns and operates five of the world's largest and most influential YouTube shows. With a combined 40 million subscribers and 8 billion total views, the network of Theory channels are a modern-day Mythbusters, educating viewers while unearthing the secrets behind gaming, food, film, and fashion. Theorist has been nominated for 15 Streamy Awards and won 9 across various categories. It has developed multiple YouTube Originals productions and created groundbreaking events in the creator space including Creators In Fashion (2024), the first creator-led runway show, and massive charity collaborations that included 50+ of the world's biggest YouTube creators (2019-2022). Theorist is also producing high-quality fandom apparel with its fashion brand Lumen and is producing lore-filled music with its LoreFi mystery-meets-music channel.

The Role
Theorist is seeking a Production Coordinator to support the Head of Production in ensuring seamless operations and workflow across our four main Theory channels, GTLive, and LoreFi. As a key team member, you'll be involved in all aspects of production—from industry-shaping creative development to final distribution, and all of the details and micro moments in between.
Success in this role hinges on several key factors. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, able to multitask effectively, and demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to solve problems proactively. The Production Coordinator should be able to independently coordinate and plan the product pipeline week to week, serve as the primary communication link between creatives and production teams, and handle larger organizational tasks such as video backups and equipment purchasing with reliability and timeliness. This is a full-time, in-person role based out of our studio in Raleigh, North Carolina with a salary range of $55,000-$64,000 based on years of experience. This position reports into the Head of Production at Theorist. We are dedicated to finding the right person and will provide relocation assistance for this opportunity. What You’ll Do
- Allocate and schedule production resources to ensure timely content delivery
- Identify and implement solutions when pipeline issues arise
- Coordinate and manage sponsored content deliverables
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project management software
- Serve as a central point of communication between all members of the production pipeline
- Manage and organize footage archives and backup systems
- Assist with in-office live action video production
- Support production on special projects and initiatives
- Help shape the future of our industry-leading channels by contributing to and leading new Theorist initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- 2-3 years of experience in production or related fields (e.g., video editing, social media, content creation)
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in various collaboration tools
- On-set production experience preferred
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Experience with Discord and Google Chat for team communication
- Knowledge of Monday project management software (preferred)
- Hands-on production experience with various equipment and setups
- Excellent organizational skills
