In such cases, Japanese citizens can use the Philippine e-Visa system to apply online for a 9(a) Temporary Visitor’s Visa if they are residing in Japan. The e-Visa portal (evisa.gov.ph) allows applicants to request single-entry or multiple-entry visas (e.g., six-month or one-year validity) for extended stays or repeated travel, with supporting documents uploaded electronically.
Once approved, the e-Visa is issued electronically and can be presented in digital or printed form upon arrival in the Philippines.
